The pdkvu was established in the year 1969 at Akola district of Maharashtra state by the Act of Maharashtra government. Previously, the dr.panjabrao deshmukh krishi vidyapeeth university was established in the Akola district. And Later on it has spread its campus in 5 districts of maharashtra. The pdkvu has 7 colleges in its campus namely Colege of engineering & technology, college of Commerce & management, college of agriculture. College of forestry and fisheries college of horticulture engineering, college of Arts & Science. In these colleges many programs are offered as Bsc Agriculture, Diploma in agriculture, agricultural engineering.
