Rabindranath Tagore University Madhya Pradesh's first private University, established in 2010, is a leading skill-based university in Central India. The University was established by India’s leading education and skills group, AISECT. The University is NAAC accredited and ranked among the top 200 universities by NIRF for 5 consecutive years from 2019-2023. The University is running programmes in the Faculties of Engineering, Education, Management, Law, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture & Medical Sciences. It focuses on imparting skills and knowledge to empower students for employment and entrepreneurship. The University is recognized by UGC and is a member of AIU and ACU. The University institutes have approvals from AICTE, NCTE, BCI, INC, and the Paramedical Council of Madhya Pradesh India. With research as one of the core focus areas, RNTU houses 17 Centres of Excellence in the fields of Incubation, Entrepreneurship & Start-ups, Science & Communication, Advance Material, Innovation in IoT, Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Literature and Culture Studies of Indian Diaspora, Language Learning, Translation, Sanskrit and Oriental Languages Studies and Indigenous Knowledge Tradition, Vanmali Srijan Peeth & AISECT Publication, Tagore International Centre for Art & Culture, Tagore Centre for Regional Languages and Culture. These centres promote the research environment in the university and have so far produced over 1500 research papers and 300 books credited to the name of its faculty members and scholar’s community. The University is implementing research projects from DRDO (Govt. of India), NCTU (Taiwan) IIT Delhi, Bio-Diversity Board (Govt. of M.P.), etc.

AIC-RNTU (Atal Incubation Center-Rabindranath Tagore University supported by NITI Aayog) commenced in 2019, aims to encourage and promote the culture of entrepreneurship in India. AIC-RNTU has been striving to support the start-up ecosystem across all functions, including funding, mentorship, handholding, industry connect, workshops, investor connects, events, contests, new age laboratories, and dedicated space. AIC-RNTU has fostered and accelerated 86 prosperous start-ups over the years.

The Tagore National School of Drama (TNSD) is a constituent institute of Rabindranath Tagore University. Established in 2021, it is the first National School of Drama in any private university in Central India. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of theatre, including acting, directing, playwriting, and design. The school also has a strong focus on practical training, and students are required to participate in a number of productions each year. The university is dedicated to provide a vibrant and enriched student experience by organising a myriad of cultural and co-curricular activities. Among these, the annual Art & Culture festival- Vishwarang stands out as a flagship event that celebrates diversity, creativity, and talent across various art forms. The festival is globally recognized, spanning 50 countries and featuring 1000 artists, 300,000 participants, and an audience of 20 million viewers. This festival serves as a platform for students to showcase their artistic prowess, fostering a sense of community and cultural appreciation within the university.
